Capsule Endoscopy is a procedure that records internal images of the gastrointestinal tract to assist in diagnosis. Capsule contains a tiny camera and an array of LEDs that passes along the GI tract clicking a number of images per second. These images are transmitted wirelessly to a portable device carried by the patient. It permits examination of areas of small intestine which are not well visualized by Colonoscopy or any other Endoscopy.
